Characteristics of the Virtual Linguistic Personality of the Author of Online Movie Review Written in English

The study of English-language movie review is promising and relevant due to the need to distinguish and systematize the features of the institutional discourse, which the review traditionally refers to, and personal discourse, the features of which the review is acquiring due to its transition to Internet platforms with their more democratic lexical and stylistic norms. Most of the scientific articles published to date consider movie reviews in the communicative context of blog discourse and in the media space of social networks with their prevailing function of self-presentation of the author. The author's figure is also key in online movie reviews, which manifests itself in the virtual linguistic personality of the reviewer. The lack of elaboration of the role of the linguistic personality of the movie reviews with a set of pragmatic intentions also determines the relevance of this study. The purpose of this study is to analyze the linguistic personality of the author of the online movie review. The interactive aspect of the linguistic personality of the movie reviewer is considered, expressed in the question-and-answer form of presentation and rhetorical questions. Explicit means of self-presentation of the author and implicit means of providing a perlocutionary effect on the reader are analyzed. The approach implemented in this study allows us to better understand the essence of hybrid genres, such as an online movie review, which, on the one hand, is characterized by the analyticity and objectivity of traditional reviews, on the other hand, is similar to an Internet review, characterized by a high degree of expressiveness and modal component.
