Semantic Space of a Literary Text

In the study of semantic content, significant attention is paid to the author’s individual intentions. Semantic interpretation reveals the interaction with the cognitive factors of text generation, due to which it is transformed into a holistic and hierarchically constructed communicative-cognitive structure, its semantic content being decoded and interpreted by the reader in the process of perceiving the text. The issues of theoretical comprehension of the text remain relevant and demonstrate new vectors of scientific research. Despite the active appeal to the study of this phenomenon, the theoretical substantiation of the semantic space of a literary text does not seem exhaustive. The purpose of the article is to present a consideration of theoretical vectors for studying the semantic space of a literary text. The study was based on the cognitive-hermeneutic analysis method that we developed, which allows us to interpret the implicit content of a literary text, and the component analysis method, which allows us to determine the range of their semantic transformations against the background of the semantic structure of linguistic units. The results obtained contribute to the development of a system of interrelated variations of meanings, due to which the meaning of the entire literary work is formed.
