Abstract

With the increasing level of social tension in the global community, it is necessary to search for methods of behavioural patterns verbalization in conflict and emotional reactions to conflict. Most studies on this topic are devoted exclusively to lexical means of verbalizing patterns of behavior in conflict, whereas it is impossible to form a holistic view of the phenomenon under study without analysing the grammatical component. In this regard, the aim of the study is to identify the prevailing ideas about gender-specific grammatical models of conflict representation in the context of the English-speaking community of Wales. The novel “Broken Ghost” by the Welsh writer N. Griffith served as the research material using the corpus methodology. Conclusions are drawn about the prevailing functional features of grammatical representation of conflict: focus on internal subjective conflict, an increase in the level of abstraction for ideas about the "feminine" language of conflict and a tendency toward an assertive representation of conflict for "masculine" representations
