Hermeneutic Component of Linguistic Education in the Digital Age

The development of modern linguistic education, in particular, the training of translators, is associated with a number of problems, including not only the development of new technologies, but also the development of a pragmatic attitude to the opportunities that have opened up. Dependence on the "digital" can lead to distortions of information and difficulties in the communication process. A way to solve this problem is to introduce a hermeneutic component into the educational process, which allows strengthening the status of the human factor. The purpose of the article is the theoretical development of the hermeneutic aspect of translatological training of students, as well as a description of the practical implementation of hermeneutic paradigm. The need for a deeper theoretical study of the issue of the hermeneutic component of translators' training in the digital age is dictated by the ever-increasing importance of high-quality translation during the period of intensification of political, cultural, scientific, business contacts. The work uses descriptive, structural, comparative research methods, analysis of pedagogical literature, and the observation method. As a result of the analysis of studies on the history and theory of hermeneutics, problems of pedagogy, as well as on the basis of the author’s pedagogical experience, three aspects of the hermeneutic component of linguistic education in the digital age are formulated: the importance of the humanitarian content of translation activities; development of teaching methods and related problems; development of training content. The article presents an algorithm for classes on the course "Stylistic Post-Machine Editing", which are conducted by the author for Chinese master's students in the 45.04.02 field of training at the Higher School of Translation of Moscow State University.
