A systematic approach, desk research and expert assessment methods were used. The new ways of forming digital competence based on the use of open online resources are revealed; original ways of convergence of traditional and innovative educational environment are presented. The authors attempted to develop a methodological approach towards connecting learning inside/outside the classrooms through the digital cloud and estimate the impact of the digital revolution on the learners and teachers’ profile. The research results can be used by teachers perceiving digital competence as a new tool for converting learning environment into a comfort zone.
